WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior goalkeeper Julia Walsh has been named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for competition from Sept. 16 – 22.

Walsh started in goal for the conference opener against Lafayette. She earned the win and her fourth clean sheet on the year making seven saves.

Sophomore forward/defender Karenna Beckstein and senior defender Alyssa Pettet also earned some recognition from the Patriot League as an honorable mention. Beckstein after scoring the game-winner and Pettet played a key role in the Crusader backline in the 1-0 win over the Leopards.

Holy Cross women's soccer (4-6, 1-0) returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 25 when they head to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army (7-2, 1-0) at 6:00 p.m.
