KINGSTON, R.I. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team headed back on the road to Rhode Island (URI) coming up with a close 1-0 loss on Thursday night.

IN GOAL:

Holy Cross: Julia Walsh (L, 1-3), 4 saves
URI: Abby McCarthy (W, 2-2), 5 saves

HOW IT HAPPENED:

In the first half, URI took the lead 17 minutes into the action with a goal by Cristina Sallent. Sallent scored off a rebound which deflected off a Walsh penalty kick save for the 1-0 advantage over Holy Cross.
The Rams led the Crusaders 5-1 in shots and 1-0 in corners through 45 minutes. Walsh made four saves to McCarthy's one.
Neither team was able to score in the final half with URI taking a 1-0 win over Holy Cross,
The Rams led Holy Cross with a 14-5 advantage in shots and 6-3 in corners to finish the game.
