WORCESTER, Mass. — Harpoon Brewery has teamed up with the College of the Holy Cross to launch the Holy Cross Hazy IPA, the official craft beer of the Holy Cross Crusaders. The beer will debut at the Harpoon x Holy Cross Beer Garden at Holy Cross' Fitton Field and in retail locations across the state in September.
Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA has an ABV of 6% and is packed with hops and full of flavor. It's the perfect beer to cheer on the Holy Cross Crusaders for the 2024-2025 academic year.
"As a Worcester native and grandson, husband, in-law, and father of Holy Cross Alums I could not be more excited about this collaboration," said Harpoon CEO and co-Founder Dan Kenary. "We worked hard to come up with a great tasting beer to celebrate both on campus and when bringing the spirit of Mt. St. James on the road."
Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA will be available at the concessions of Fitton Field just in time for the home opener of the Holy Cross Crusaders football team, which takes on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. For tickets, fans can call 1-844-GO-CROSS or visit goholycross.com/tickets.
Fans will be able to get an early taste of the Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA at Holy Cross' annual Kickoff Event at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5. The beer will be available for purchase at the event, which is free and open to all fans who register in advance.
"Partnering with Harpoon Brewery is a perfect union of two firsts-of-their-kind New England institutions," said Holy Cross President Vincent Rougeau. "We are excited to work with them to deliver this new branded craft beer to our passionate Holy Cross community."
Harpoon x Holy Cross Hazy IPA will be available in 16 oz 4-pack cans all season long in the stadium and at select retailers, bars and restaurants in the Worcester area.
