Senior right-handed pitcher Ben Talbot of the Holy Cross baseball team has been named to the 2023 Academic All-Patriot League Team, the conference announced on Thursday, May 11. 

Talbot is one of 12 baseball student-athletes to earn Academic All-Patriot League honors. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, and be a starter or key reserve. Voting for the Patriot League Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Team is conducted by the League's baseball sports information directors. They were prohibited from voting for their student-athletes.

Talbot has posted a 3.44 cumulative GPA as a physics major and is a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection. 

During his senior season, Talbot appeared in 19 contests, spanning 30.2 innings, while striking out 35 batters — all career bests in those categories. 

Throughout his Crusader career, Talbot made 45 relief appearances, tallying 65 strikeouts in 61.0 innings.
