Junior right-handed pitcher Jack DiLauro of the Holy Cross baseball team has been named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

DiLauro had a stellar season debut against Troy University in an Opening Day start on Feb. 18. Over six innings, DiLauro allowed just one hit and one run while striking out nine batters. His nine strikeouts were just two shy of his career high.  

This is the third time DiLauro has earned a weekly honor from the Patriot League and the second time he has been named Pitcher of the Week; he was previously selected as the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on April 6, 2021.

DiLauro and the Crusaders return to action this weekend when they begin a four-game series at New Mexico on Friday, Feb. 25.
