Women’s soccer comes home to take on Bucknell

The Holy Cross women's soccer team will be back at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium to face Bucknell on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m.

Things to Know About the Crusaders (1-9-1, 0-2-1 Patriot League):
• Holy Cross stands 1-9-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the Patriot League this year. In their first three conference games of the season, the Crusaders tied American (1-1) while falling to Army (5-1) and Lehigh (2-1). 
• Junior forward Katie Quinn leads the team in scoring with eight points on four goals this season. Three of her four goals have come in the last six games, as she scored against Lehigh, Bryant and Boston College. Quinn is currently Holy Cross' active leading scorer with 16 points on seven goals and two assists in 32 career games played.
• Junior forward Colleen McIlvenna recorded assists on all three of the Crusaders' goals in the Sept. 12 game at Boston College. She tied the school single-game record with her three assists, matching the marks of Audrey Smith (vs. Lafayette, Oct. 26, 1991) and Courtney Cohen (vs. St. Peter's, Sept. 11, 2015). On the season, McIlvenna ranks second on the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists.
• Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Dubin posted her first career shutout during the victory over Bryant, while making a career-high 19 saves against UMass Lowell in the season opener. She currently leads the Patriot League and ranks 34th in the nation with an average of 6.2 saves per game.

Scouting the Bison (5-6-1, 2-1-0 Patriot League):
• Bucknell enters the game with an overall mark of 5-6-1 and 2-1-0 record in the Patriot League. The Bison have lost their last two games to Colgate (3-0) and Princeton (6-1), and stand 1-5-0 on the road this year.
• Junior forward Rylee Donaldson leads the team in scoring with 13 points this season on six goals and one assist. 
• Sophomore Jenna Hall has started all 12 games in goal for the Bison, posting a 1.88 goals against average with 59 saves.

Series History:
• Bucknell holds a 22-6-2 lead in the all-time series between the schools, including 14 straight wins from 2005-2018.
• In the last meeting, the Crusaders posted a 3-0 victory over the Bison in Worcester on Nov. 1, 2019. Caroline Harkins scored the game-winning goal, while Sophia Lettieri recorded a shutout with two saves.
