Holy Cross set for home game with Army West Point

The Holy Cross women's soccer team returns home on Wednesday, Sept. 22, when it plays host to Army West Point at 6:00 p.m.

Things to Know About the Crusaders (1-7-1, 0-0-1 Patriot League):
• Holy Cross stands 1-7-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the Patriot League this year, and is coming off a 1-1 double overtime tie at American in its conference opener. 
• Junior forward Colleen McIlvenna recorded assists on all three of the Crusaders' goals in the Sept. 12 game at Boston College. She tied the school single-game record with her three assists, matching the marks of Audrey Smith (vs. Lafayette, Oct. 26, 1991) and Courtney Cohen (vs. St. Peter's, Sept. 11, 2015). On the season, McIlvenna leads the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists.
• Junior forward Katie Quinn leads the team with three goals scored this season and ranks second on the squad with six points. Two of her three goals have come in the last four games, as she scored against both Bryant and Boston College. Quinn is currently Holy Cross' active leading scorer with 14 points on six goals and two assists in 30 career games played.
• Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Dubin posted her first career shutout during the victory over Bryant, while making a career-high 19 saves against UMass Lowell in the season opener. She currently leads the Patriot League and ranks 27th in the nation with an average of 6.4 saves per game.

Scouting the Black Knights (3-4-2, 0-0-1 Patriot League):
• Army enters the game with an overall mark of 3-4-2 and an 0-0-1 record in the Patriot League. The Black Knights tied Lehigh 3-3 in their conference opener on Saturday.
• Junior midfielder Dara Murray leads Army with six points this season on two goals and two assists. 
• Freshman Sage Strohman has started five games in goal for the Black Knights, posting a 1.10 goals against average with 25 saves.

Series History:
• The Black Knights hold a 20-8-6 lead in the all-time series between the schools with two straight victories. The Crusaders stand 3-2-3 in the last eight meetings.
• In the last game between the teams, Army posted a 2-1 victory at West Point on March 26, 2021.
