Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer comes up short at Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team lost to Colgate 4-0 Saturday evening in New York.

The Radiers scored in the fifth minute of game action, but the Crusader defense would put the clamps on and not allow anything else for the rest of the half. It was in the second half when Colgate would put the game away. Three goals, in the 57th, 66th, and 74th minutes would give the Raiders the four goal lead and is how the game would end.

Claire Carew and Katie Quinn led Holy Cross with two shots and a shot on goal each. Paige Epp also put one on goal. On the day, Colgate outshot Holy Cross in shots on goal 10-3. They also out earned the Crusaders in corners 7-4.

Izzy Castagnetti and Mackenzie Wagner each saw their first collegiate action in goal with Castagnetti getting the start, playing the first 70 minutes, and making four saves. Wagner came on in relief and stopped two shots.
