WORCESTER, Mass.— The Holy Cross field hockey team fell to Lehigh, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at Hart Turf Field.
The Crusaders (4-5, 0-3 Patriot League) held Lehigh (7-3, 3-0 Patriot League) scoreless for the first quarter. The Mountain Hawks then opened the scoring with a second quarter goal from Lotte Smorenburg.
Lehigh went on to score three goals in the third and one more in the fourth to close out the game with a 5-0 victory.
Isabella Henderson led the Crusaders with two shots.
Emma Lauber made four saves in just over 38 minutes of action, while
Brooke Ross also made four saves in just over 21 minutes in net.
