ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team fell in its Patriot League opener at Navy, 4-0. The Crusaders drop to 0-6 on the year and 0-1 in conference action while Navy improves to 7-0 and 1-0 in the Patriot League. Bobby Hurstak made six saves in the outing.
In the 10th minute, Navy started the scoring as Jacob Williams took a shot from the right corner of the 18-yard box to the near post. In the 19th minute, Nicko West doubled the Midshipmen lead.
Hurstak made a diving save with nine minutes remaining in the first half. But the Navy offense struck again, as Ben Nicholas struck from the top of the box in the 44th minute. West added a fourth Midshipmen goal in the 64th minute to take the game.
