WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross softball team lost to Boston College, 6-1, Wednesday evening at Freshman Field. The loss comes a day after the Crusaders defeated the Eagles for the first time since 1996 in a 6-0 shutout win in Brighton.
The three Crusader hits on the day belonged to Erin Bengston, Bailey Chavez, and Jessie Nagel. Nagel's was a double and she also had an RBI, while Chavez scored the home team's only run.

- The Eagles struck first as they used three hits in the inning to score twice.
- The Crusaders answered in the bottom half when Chavez and Bengston singled to start the inning.
- Nagel followed with a double to right that scored Chavez.
Sixth:
- Boston College added four in the sixth by stringing together four hits and two walks in the frame.
- Holy Cross put the first two batters of the inning on, but couldn't do anything after that.
Seventh:
- The Crusaders were sat down in order in the final frame.
