WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was narrowly defeated by Colgate, 2-1, in the Crusaders' season finale on Nov. 6.
Jack Ostrosky tallied his second of the season and
Bobby Hurstak played to six saves.
In the 21
st minute, Holy Cross took a 1-0 lead when Ostrosky collected a
Max Krause rebound six yards from the far post a slotted a ball into the goal for his second of the year. Hursktak picked up five saves in the first half to keep Colgate off the board.
In the 53
rd minute, Drew Fischer scored on a penalty kick to even the game, 1-1. Holy Cross' defense held strong, holding off nine Raider shots. But in the 90
th minute and with five seconds left in regulation, Edward Bass sent a shot to ricochet off the far post and bounce over the goal line.

"It was certainly a tough ending, the boys came out with fighting spirit in this last game and I think they deserved a little more than what we got. The seniors battled and competed hard and I thought everyone fought for each other tonight. Unfortunately, we did not get the result."
