WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross men's soccer freshman forward Simon Becher was named to the All-Patriot League third team as announced by the league on Monday, Nov. 5. Becher is the first Crusader rookie to earn the honor since Yuji Callahan and Justin Carfora in 2014.
Becher led the Crusaders in the 2018 season with seven goals and two assists for 16 points in 17 games played. Becher ranks fifth in the Patriot League in points and sixth in goals. Becher tallied his first collegiate goal at Boston College on Sept. 11. He recorded one two-goal game against Hartford. In the Crusaders' 3-2 win over Army, Becher recorded three points with one goal and one assist.
Becher earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 17 after a three-goal week. The forward also received accolades from Top Drawer Soccer and New England Soccer Journal.
