WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team lost to American, 4-1, Saturday afternoon in Worcester.
The Crusaders got on the board first when in the 26th minute, senior Ang Seslija found sophomore Jenna Barnes just inside the box. Barnes hit a beautiful ball across the face of the net and curled it into the far post to take the lead.
American would answer back 10 minutes later with two goals of its own to take the 2-1 lead into halftime. The Eagles would add two more in the second half, both by leading scorer Yari Bradfield to claim the 4-1 victories over the Crusaders.
Holy Cross is back in action Wednesday when it travels to Colgate.
