WORCESTER, Mass. – The College of the Holy Cross has named Robbie Wagner its new equipment manager, as announced by director of athletics Nathan Pine. Wagner will handle the needs of all 27 varsity teams, ensuring that coaches and student-athletes have proper equipment, apparel and footwear.
"Robbie Wagner brings with him a wealth of professional experience and a familiarity with our all-apparel partner adidas that will be a tremendous benefit to our student-athletes and coaches,” said Pine. “I am pleased to welcome Robbie to Holy Cross as our newest Crusader."
Wagner joins the Holy Cross team after working for two years as the associate director of athletic equipment and assistant equipment manager at The Citadel. He led a team of 12 student interns to successfully manage the needs of The Citadel's football team. In addition, Wagner organized game day equipment and apparel for road games, while controlling the inventory of football players and coaches' apparel and equipment.
He previously worked for three years as the clubhouse manager of the Greenville Drive, a Boston Red Sox Class A affiliate team. Wagner was responsible for purchasing food for pre-game and post-game meals, managing the equipment for batting practice and scheduling volunteer workers for home games.
Wagner graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University in 2014 with a major in sports management and a minor in business administration. He worked at the school as a football student assistant for defense and inside linebackers in which he imported practice and game film into the video system and helped managed practice and game day operations.
