• "I'm proud of the team's performance tonight," said head coach Casey Brown. "We proved we can be resilient, and we showed a lot of heart. We put together a complete game, and that will give us some great momentum moving forward."

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Army West Point took a 1-0 lead in the third minute of play, as Carly Katalinic found the back of the net with a shot from the top of the box.
• In the 29th minute, senior forward Christina Napolitano took the ball up field on an offensive rush and had a strong shot, but was unable to beat Army goalkeeper Jordan Cassalia.
• Holy Cross tied the game up in the first minute of the second half, as junior midfielder Emily George came up with a rebound in the box and lobbed it into the net.
• Freshman forward Carly Flahive had a scoring chance early on in overtime, gaining the ball on a breakaway, but her shot missed just wide of the net.
• The Black Knights added pressure in overtime, but Holle made three saves to help secure the tying score.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Holle made eight saves for the Crusaders.
• Cassalia made three saves for Army West Point.
• Shots on net were 9-4 in favor of the Black Knights.
• Napolitano led the Crusaders with three shots, including two on net.
