THE BASICS

• The Lead: Sophomore forward Andj Seslija notched a pair of goals, but the Holy Cross women's soccer team came up short against Richmond, falling 3-2 in overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Meaghan Carrigan put the Spiders on the board first in the third minute of play with an unassisted tally.
• Seslija knotted up the game for the Crusaders in the 23rd minute of action, scoring off an assist from sophomore defender Caroline Wallace.
• Richmond had a quick answering goal to regain the lead, with a score from Lexi Prillaman putting the Spiders up 2-1.
• Just two minutes into the second half, Seslija found the back of the net once again on a penalty kick opportunity, to knot up the score at 2-2.
• Neither team would score again in regulation, before Alyssa Walker netted the game-winning goal in the first minute of overtime to end the match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Freshman goalkeeper Caroline Cashion made 12 saves in net, while sophomore goalkeeper Emma Gurchiek notched a pair of saves.
• Katie Brennan recorded four saves for the Spiders.
• Seslija led the Crusaders with a pair of goals and three shots.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• Seslija's two goals scored set a new career-high.
• Cashion's 12 saves were the most by a Crusader since Carly McCabe recorded 12 saves on Oct. 18, 2013, against Navy.
• This was the first-ever meeting between the Crusaders and Spiders.
