• The Lead: Holy Cross scored two goals late in the second half, but the Crusaders came up just short to New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon in Worcester by a score of 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Liz Lane put the Wildcats on the board in the 17th minute of play, as she tapped in a goal off a pass from the far side of the net.
• New Hampshire extended its lead to 2-0 in the 38th minute with a goal from Brooke Murphy, who scored off a rebound.
• The Wildcats made it 3-0 in their favor in the 80th minute as Murphy scored her second of the game with shot off a cross.
• The Crusaders answered in the 82nd minute, as freshman forward Carly Flahive dished the ball to senior forward Christina Napolitano who found the back of the net.
• Junior forward Kara Shaw scored off a corner kick from junior Emily George to cut New Hampshire's lead to one in the 87th minute of play.
• Holy Cross made an offensive push into the final minute of regulation, but the Crusaders were unable to tie the game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Senior goalkeeper Brooke Holle made five saves in net for Holy Cross.
• Mimi Borkan stopped four shots for New Hampshire.
• Junior midfielder Caitlin Harty led Holy Cross with two shots on net.
• Shots on goal were 8-6 in favor of the Wildcats.
