HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Bears got the scoring started in the ninth minute of play, as Carly Gould scored with a shot off a lead pass from Abb Carchio to make it 1-0.
  • The Crusaders responded in the 32nd minute, as freshman forward Carly Flahive found Seslija with a corner kick, who knocked the ball in with a header to make it a 1-1 game.

  • Holy Cross had a strong offensive push in the second half, outshooting Brown 11-4, but the Crusaders were unable to find the tying goal.

CASEY'S CORNER

  • "We showed a great attacking side to our game tonight, but we were disappointed we could't find the back of the net more often with our chances," said head coach Casey Brown. "Moving forward we need to be in the driver's seat during games. We know we are capable of that and we will tighten up our game to make sure that happens."
