HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Crusaders took the first scoring opportunity of the game in the fourth minute when junior Annie Galvin (Attleboro, Mass.) launched a hard shot on target, but the ball was stopped on a diving save by Bucknell goalie Jessie Ashworth.
  • Holy Cross grabbed the early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute of action (5:10). • Bucknell knotted the score at 1-1 in the 63rd minute (62:52). On a three-on-two offensive advantage, Madison Loos passed the ball to the left side to find a streaking Gannon, who shot the ball from 14 yards out past McCabe.
