WORCESTER, Mass.- Melissa Gimpel scored two goals and had an assist, while Jenny Maurer added two goals as Boston College defeated Holy Cross 8-0, Sunday night in women's soccer action at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium. The Crusaders drop to 1-5-1 overall, while the Eagles improve to 5-2.

Also in the scoring column for Boston College were Kelly Henderson, Mary Schneck, Gina DiMartino and Molly Dane. Senior Lauren Pereira (Ludlow, Mass.) registered all three of the Crusaders' shots. Junior goalie Jessica Pietrowicz (Worcester, Mass.) played the entire game making a season-high 15 saves in the loss.

The Crusaders return to action when they host New Hampshire at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium on Wednesday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m.
