Senior Allison McArdle, a captain for the Holy Cross women’s track and field team, has been a standout distance runner for the Crusaders throughout her career, and ran some of the strongest times of her career as a senior.
During her senior indoor track season, McArdle ran PRs in the 3,000 meters (9:54.61), one mile (4:59.90) and 1,000 meters (2:56.36). She placed fifth in the 3,000 meters at the 2020 Patriot League Indoor Championship.
At the 2019 Patriot League Cross Country Championship, McArdle placed seventh to earn All-Patriot League first team honors. It was the second time in her career she was named an All-Patriot League first teamer, as she was also part of the first-place 4x800 team at the 2018 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
McArdle (Glastonbury, Conn.) has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll seven times between cross country and track and field, and was additionally selected to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for cross country in 2019. She will graduate Holy Cross with a degree in biology.
