Garrett Fortin, a captain for the Holy Cross men’s track and field team, has been a star sprinter for the Crusaders over the last four seasons.
As a junior, Fortin broke a 13-year-old school record in the indoor 200 meter dash, running a time of 22.16 seconds at the BU Valentine Invite. His personal bests include 7.19 seconds in the 60 meter dash, 11.04 seconds in the 100 meters and 22.12 seconds in the outdoor 200 meter dash.
Fortin (Silver Lake, N.H.) has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll multiple times in his career. He has been an active member of student government on The Hill, and he will graduate Holy Cross with a degree in political science.
