Hall of Fame Spotlight | Tony Froio '86

The Holy Cross Varsity Club will induct six members into its Hall of Fame during its annual induction celebration on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tickets are now on sale for the event.

Leading up to the celebration, we will be spotlighting each of the inductees and their accomplishments as a Crusader and beyond. Today’s featured Hall of Famer is Tony Froio ‘86 — a Holy Cross baseball player who has been an integral part of the Varsity Club for decades.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Froio was a four-year starter on the baseball team, playing in the infield from 1983-1986.
  2. As a senior, Froio received a Presidential Service Award and was named a Dana Scholar.
  3. Froio began serving on the Varsity Club’s board of directors in the fall of 1986, and would later serve as president from 1996-1997.
  4. In 1997, Froio took over as the Varsity Club’s treasurer, a position he has held for over 25 years, while serving as the chair of the Hall of Fame Dinner since the late 1990s.
  5. Froio has spent countless hours working on the club’s finances and ensuring the club is well represented in meetings with college leadership.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Froio currently serves as the Chair of the Executive Board and Managing Partner for Robins Kaplan, a leading national trial law firm. He has practiced law at Robins Kaplan since 1994, including 20 years as Managing Partner of the firm's Boston office.
