The Holy Cross football team will play its final home game of the regular season when it hosts Bucknell in Patriot League action on Saturday, Nov. 16. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. at Fitton Field.

The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+, with Kevin Gehl, Kevin Shea and Faith Cain on the call.

The Crusaders (4-6, 3-1 Patriot League) most recently fell short against Lehigh in a defensive battle, 10-7, on Nov. 9. Senior linebacker Frankie Monte paced a strong defensive effort for Holy Cross, totaling 21 tackles and recovering a fumble. Sophomore linebacker Drew Spinogatti finished with eight tackles, including five solo tackles and a tackle for loss. Sophomore linebacker Cam Santee and senior safety Curtis Harris-Lopez totaled six tackles apiece.

Sophomore running back Jayden Clerveaux rushed for 84 yards in the setback. Junior receiver Max Mosey totaled a team-high 46 receiving yards while senior tight end Jacob Petersen scored the Crusaders’ lone touchdown of the day.

Following the game, Holy Cross will celebrate its 25 senior and fifth-year student-athletes for its Senior Day celebration. This group has been instrumental in helping Holy Cross extend its streak of Patriot League titles to five in a row; this group has also earned a pair of wins over FBS programs (Connecticut - 2021 and Buffalo - 2022).

SERIES HISTORY

This will be the 41st meeting between the Crusaders and the Bison on the gridiron, with Holy Cross leading the all-time series, 27-13. The Crusaders have won five straight contests against the Bison, including a 33-10 win in the Spring 2021 Patriot League Championship Game. This will be the first game between the two teams played at Fitton Field since the 2018 season.

LAST TIME THEY MET: The No. 12 Holy Cross football team held off Bucknell, pulling away for a 55-27 victory in Patriot League action on Oct. 7, 2023. The Crusaders totaled 574 yards of offense — including 202 yards in the first quarter alone — with 316 rushing yards. Junior running back Jordan Fuller totaled 162 yards of offense, including 147 rushing yards, while also rushing for four touchdowns. Senior quarterback Matthew Sluka completed 19 of his 28 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 122 yards. Senior wide receiver Jalen Coker caught a touchdown and finished with 96 receiving yards on the day. On defense, fifth-year linebacker Jacob Dobbs totaled 12 tackles, including two tackles for loss and a sack, while also forcing a fumble. Junior safety Curtis Harris-Lopez finished with eight tackles, including 2.5 TFLs. Senior cornerback Terrence Spence had an interception and two pass breakups to go with four tackles.
