Hall of Fame Spotlight | Mandy Sifferlen ‘17

The Holy Cross Varsity Club will induct six members into its Hall of Fame during its annual induction celebration on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tickets are now on sale for the event.

Leading up to the celebration, we will be spotlighting each of the inductees and their accomplishments as a Crusader and beyond. Today’s featured Hall of Famer is Mandy Sifferlen ‘17 — a standout for the Holy Cross volleyball team.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

  1. Sifferlen was a three-time All-Patriot League selection (first team, 2016 - second team, 2015, 2014).
  2. She set a school single season-record with 497 kills her senior year to go along with 305 digs, 40 blocks and a .244 hitting percentage.
  3. Finished her career ranking second all-time at Holy Cross in career kills (1,344) at the time of her graduation.
  4. Became only the second volleyball player in program history to be named the Varsity Club Crusader of the Year in 2017.
  5. Was one of only two volleyball student-athletes to be named Academic All-Patriot League three times.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Sifferlen traveled overseas to play professional volleyball. She competed in the top leagues of Finland, Sweden, and Czechia, even helping her team earn a silver medal in the Suomi (Finnish) Cup. After three years she transitioned to medical school at Loyola Stritch in Chicago where she is currently in her fourth year pursuing a career in pediatrics.
