The No. 22 Holy Cross football team continues its road swing with a Veterans Day matchup against FBS opponent Army West Point on Saturday, Nov. 11. Kickoff in West Point, N.Y., is set for 12 p.m. 

The game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. The Crusaders overcame an early 14-point deficit to earn a 28-24 Patriot League victory over Lehigh on Nov. 4. Junior running back Jordan Fuller had a career-best 228 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns, breaking the single-season program record with 18 rushing touchdowns on the year. He broke the previous single-season record of 16 rushing touchdowns, which was held by Joe Segreti (1988). Senior wide receiver Jalen Coker reeled in two touchdowns with 98 receiving yards on the day. He is now tied for the single-season program record, with 13 touchdown receptions this season. 

Defensively, senior cornerback Terrence Spence pulled down an interception and had a team-high seven tackles. Junior linebacker Frankie Monte finished with six tackles. 

For his efforts, Fuller was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. Fuller now has 1,026 rushing yards on the season, marking the 12th time in program history that a player has hit the 1,000-rushing yard milestone. His 228 rushing yards are tied for sixthmost in program history

This will be the 25th meeting between the Crusaders and the Black Knights on the gridiron, with Army leading the all-time series 17-6-1.

LAST TIME THEY MET: Holy Cross defeated the Black Knights by a score of 30-21 on Sept. 7, 2002 in a back-and-forth battle. Placekicker Chris Vella connected on a program-record five field goals in the contest, while Steve Silva rushed for 98 yards. Ben Koller totaled 14 tackles while also forcing and recovering a fumble. Army jumped out to a 14-6 lead with 6:15 to go in the second quarter, before Brian Hall and Hector Cordero-Reyes connected on a two-yard touchown with 3:53 to go in the half; the ensuing two-point conversion was successful. Vella’s field goal gave Holy Cross a 17-14 lead early in the third, before the Black Knights scored a touchdown to regain the lead. Ari Confesor returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown to give the Crusaders a 24-21 advantage with 5:34 to go in the third; Holy Cross did not rescind the lead, with Vella connecting on two more field goals to secure the 30-21 win.
