WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's soccer team was defeated at Lehigh, 3-1, in their final game of the season. Simon Becher tallied his team-best seventh goal. The Crusaders conclude the season with a 3-10-4 record and 2-6-1 Patriot League mark. Lehigh improves to 9-7-2 and 6-3-0.

 

Lehigh took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute on a penalty kick from Mark Forrest. Holy Cross responded in the 36th minute to even the score, 1-1. Max Krause tallied his team-leading third assist as he took a shot that was blocked and sent towards Simon Becher for his seventh of the season.

 

Lehigh added two more goals in the 56th and 66th minute to lead the game. Forrest scored both goals for the Mountain Hawks. To take the lead, Forrest sent a free kick to the top left corner of the net.
