Holy Cross is making its third Patriot League Tournament appearance in the Quarterfinal round at Army West Point on April 30 at 3:00 p.m. The Crusaders are the fifth seed in the tournament, playing at four-seed Army. 
Tickets for the game at Michie Stadium are $12 for general admission. 
The Crusaders hold a 1-2 record in Patriot League Tournament games, having captured their first tournament win in 2017. 
Quick Sticks
• The Crusaders claimed their second-ever victory over Lehigh on April 26, 12-7. 
• With the win, Holy Cross ties the program record for league wins (4). 
• Since last playing Army on March 16, the Crusaders have played to a 5-1 record. 
• The Crusaders’ defensive core own a 9.54 goals against average, ranking ninth nationally. 
• On April 29, four Crusaders were selected to All-Patriot League teams. Matt Farrell was a first team selection and also marked the program’s first-ever first team selection. Sean Mullaney, Kevin Kodzis, and Dan O'Connell were all named to the second team. The Crusaders’ four selections is the most ever for the program.
Balanced Attack
• The Crusaders have seen four players hit the 30-point mark: Sean Mullaney, Kevin Kodzis, and Justin Lynskey, and Will Spangenberg.
• Each of Holy Cross’ starting attack unit has reached double digit goals. 
• Rookie Will Spangenberg has hit the 30-point mark while sharing the team lead in assists, with 14. 
Crusader Leaders
Dan O'Connell has picked up a team-best 111 ground balls. 
• Fifteen Crusaders have scored at least one goal on the season. 
• Defender Matt Farrell checks in with 53 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers in 13 games played. 
Jonathan Tesoro holds a .504 save percentage and a 9.36 goals against average in 794:29 minutes played. 
Crusaders Cause Turnovers
• The Crusaders rank fifth nationally and second in the Patriot League in caused turnovers as a team (11.15). 
Matt Farrell ranks fifth in the nation and second the league in caused turnovers per game (2.23). Farrell recently captured the program record for single-season caused turnovers (30). 
• Three Crusaders rank in the top-10 in caused turnovers in the league. Farrell ranks second the league, Chris Conlin ranks fifth (1.77) and Will Murphy checks in at eighth (1.62). 
Faceoff Specialty
Dan O'Connell owns a .646 faceoff winning percentage, ranking him second in the Patriot League and eighth nationally. 
• O’Connell leads the league in ground balls per game (9.17) and ranks eighth nationally. 
• As a team, Holy Cross ranks second in the Patriot League with a 0.639 winning percentage at the faceoff, which is also good for eighth nationally. 
Scouting #18/19 Army
• Army averages 11.43 goals per game and allows 8.93 per game. 
• AJ Baretto has played all 14 goals in goal for the Black Knights, with a 8.93 goals against average and .570 save percentage. 
• Johnny Surdick was named the Patriot League’s defensive player of the year, with 53 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers. 
• Offensively, Brendan Nitchern leads with 24 goals and 39 assists for 63 points. 
• Miles Silva leads the team in scoring, with 34 goals. 
Last Time Against the Black Knights
• Army narrowly defeated the Crusaders in the regular season, winning 7-6 on March 16. 
• Kodzis, Lynskey, and Waldron all recorded two-goal games. 
• Tesoro marked a season-high 14 saves in the game. 
• Farrell caused a team-high four turnovers.
