Sean Mullaney Named ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior midfielder Sean Mullaney has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 8-14. Mullaney led the Holy Cross men’s lacrosse team to an 11-5 win over Colgate in its only game last week.

During the victory over the Raiders, Mullaney recorded a team-best four goals and one assist for five points. He posted two goals and an assist to help the Crusaders build a 5-1 lead early in the third quarter, then netted his third goal late in the third quarter to make the scored 6-3 after Colgate had trimmed the margin to two. Mullaney later added an insurance goal in the fourth quarter to put Holy Cross up 11-4.

Overall this season, Mullaney leads the team in scoring with 35 points on 25 goals and 10 assists. During his career with the Crusaders, he has now totaled 42 goals and 18 assists for 60 points in 39 games played.

The Crusaders (6-5 overall, 3-3 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, April 20, when they travel to Boston University for a 3:30 p.m. game.
