The Holy Cross men’s basketball team will play its second straight home game when it faces Lafayette at 3:05 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12. This will be Jersey Day at the Hart Center, with all children 12 and under who show up in a jersey receiving free admission. The contest between the Crusaders and the Leopards will be televised live by Charter TV3 and the Patriot League Network, and can be heard live on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

Holy Cross stands 10-6 overall this year with a 1-2 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders have lost their last two games, including a 99-94 overtime setback against Lehigh on Wednesday night. Holy Cross leads the Patriot League in assists (17.6 assists per game), turnover margin (+3.0 turnovers per game) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6-to-1).

Sophomore guard Jacob Grandison has led the team by averaging 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while sophomore guard Austin Butler has added 12.6 points and 4.0 boards per contest. Four other Crusaders are averaging at least six points, led by sophomore guard Caleb Green (12.1 points per game) and senior forward Jehyve Floyd (10.1 pointer per game).

Lafayette stands 4-10 overall this year with a 1-2 mark in Patriot League play. The Leopards are coming off an 85-70 victory over Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Sophomore guard Alex Petrie has led the team by averaging 13.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, while making 80.0 percent of his four shots. Sophomore guard Justin Jaworski is also off to a strong start this season, with averages of 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest. Lafayette is led by head coach Fran O’Hanlon, who stands 318-383 in 24 seasons with the Leopards.

After the contest with Lafayette, the Crusaders will travel to Bucknell on Monday, Jan. 14, for a 7:00 p.m. game on the CBS Sports Network.
