Emmerich Places 45th at Boys Junior PGA Championship
HARTFORD, Conn. – Holy Cross incoming freshman Christian Emmerich finished in a tie for 45th place at the 2019 Boys Junior PGA Championship, which took place at Keney Park Golf Course from July 30-Aug. 2.
Emmerich totaled 278 strokes over four rounds to finish the tournament at two-under par. His week included a three-under par round of 67 on Wednesday and a two-under par 68 on Thursday. Jack Heath of Charlotte, N.C., won the title after totaling 259 strokes (21-under par). Emmerich was one of 76 players to make the cut in the event, which included 144 individuals from around the world.
Emmerich will be back in action when he takes part in the 2019 United States Amateur Championship, which will take place at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C., from Aug. 12-18.
