Nelson led the league in strikeouts, as her 208 were the fifth-most ever by a Patriot League pitcher. Her 65 batters struck out looking was best in the league as well.

Nelson earned five weekly honors from the league this season as she was named Pitcher of the Week twice and Rookie of the Week three times.
