WORCESTER, Mass. – Two Holy Cross freshmen have been selected to the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie team, as announced by the conference on March 13. Freshman defenseman Matt Slick and freshman forward Anthony Vincent were both named to the six-person team. Slick and Vincent are the first Crusaders to earn a spot on the team since 2013. It is just the second time in program history for Holy Cross to earn two honorees, previously recording two selections in 2008.

Slick played in 34 games in his rookie season and recorded five points on one goal and four assists. The freshman finished the season with a plus-3 rating, ranking third on the team. The defenseman added 30 blocked shots on the season. Slick added an assist on the overtime game-winning goal on March 1 at Air Force.

Vincent finished with the second most points on the team at 21. The rookie played in 36 games and picked up five goals and 16 assists. He ended the season with a plus-four rating and blocked 33 shots. He recorded the game-winning goal on Feb. 2, in Holy Cross’ 5-4 win over Army. Vincent’s 16 assists led the Crusaders and all 21 of his points came in league action.

Holy Cross finished the 2018-19 season with a 10-21-5 record and 10-14-4 mark in Atlantic Hockey action. The Crusaders played to a 6-3-2 record in their last 11 games of the regular season.
