Holy Cross Places Ninth at Williams Fall Classic
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Junior Jackie Gonzalez finished in a tie for fourth place as an individual, as the Holy Cross women’s golf team placed ninth in the Williams Fall Classic at the Taconic Golf Club. Gonzalez totaled 153 strokes over two rounds to finish at 11-over par, including a 73 in Sunday’s final round.
Sophomore Emily Rodricks tied for 40th place overall with 174 strokes, while sophomore Lauren Schonewolf and junior Maddy Belden tied for 42nd place with 175 strokes. Junior Stephanie Browne finished in a tie for 58th place with a 189.
New York University won the team title with a two-round total of 622 strokes, while Holy Cross totaled 677 strokes. Chloe Levins of Middlebury was the individual medalist after finishing at four-over par (146 strokes).
The Crusaders return to action when they take face Assumption and Wellesley at the Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Mass., on Oct. 13.
