Eight Crusaders Receive Holy Cross Student Leadership Awards
WORCESTER, Mass. - Eight Crusader student-athletes were among a group of Holy Cross seniors who were selected as winners of 2019 Student Leadership Awards, as announced by the Office of Student Involvement. Seniors Caroline Body (women's swimming and diving), Declan Cronin (baseball), Martin Dorsey (football), Jehyve Floyd (men's basketball), Tommy Nixon (men's ice hockey), Marcellis Perkins (men's basketball) and Jerome Siangco (men's rowing) were all honored, along with freshman Connor McNerney (men's cross country / track and field).
The following are the awards which were received by Holy Cross student-athletes.
Admirable Leadership Traits
(This award honors individuals who have led by example throughout their Holy Cross career and possess superior leadership qualities that make them a model for their peers.)
Silent Leader Award
(This award honors an individual who is seen as a quiet force within an organization. She/he is a reliable team member and exceeds expectations in helping the organization to move forward.)
Outstanding Service to the Worcester Community
(This award honors an individual who has been an activist in the community and shown tremendous dedication and perseverance in their commitment to serving the local community.)
Rising Star Award
(This award honors first year individuals who have demonstrated leadership qualities and tremendous promise.)
Bishop Fenwick Service Award
(This award honors a senior for outstanding service to the Holy Cross community.)
