Keely Connors Named Patriot League Attacker of the Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross women’s lacrosse senior attacker Keely Connors was named the Patriot League’s Attacker of the Week, as announced by the league. The weekly honor marks the first for Connors. Connors is the first Crusader to earn Attacker of the Week since Laura Ryan in 2015. It also marks the program’s first weekly award since March 3, 2017, when Tess McKay and Anna Johnson earned Midfielder and Defensive Player awards.
Connors tallied a career-high six points on five goals and one assist in the Crusaders’ 20-3 win over Central Connecticut on Feb. 16. The senior attacker added six draw controls and one caused turnover in the game.
Connors was on the Patriot League honor roll last week [Feb. 11] after scoring four goals in the Crusaders’ season opener against Fairfield. Connors now owns nine goals on the season and 10 points.
