OAKLAND, Calif. – Malcolm Miller, a 2015 Holy Cross graduate, became a National Basketball Association champion on Thursday night when the Toronto Raptors won 114-110 at Golden State in game six of the 2019 NBA Finals. This is the first title for the Raptors franchise.

Miller becomes the fourth Holy Cross basketball player to win an NBA title, joining the likes of Bob Cousy and Tom Heinsohn. All told, former Crusaders now own 16 NBA championships.

He is also the first Patriot League player to ever be part of an NBA title team, since the league's formation in 1990.

Miller appeared in 10 of Toronto's 24 playoff games in 2018-2019, totaling eight points, five rebounds, one assist and one block. In 25 career regular season games played with the Raptors, he has recorded 73 points, 20 rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals, while hitting 42.9 percent of his three-point attempts (18 of 42).

During his career with the Crusaders, he totaled 1,013 points, 532 rebounds, 164 assists, 143 blocked shots and 93 steals. Miller ranks fourth all-time at Holy Cross in career blocked shots and seventh in career games started (93).
