Men's cross country opens season vs. UNH, Providence

DURHAM, N.H. – The Holy Cross men’s cross country team placed third at its season opener in a tri-meet with the University of New Hampshire and Providence College on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Crusaders finished with 85 points, behind first-place Providence (19 points) and second-place New Hampshire (44 points).

TOP FIVE:

  • Sophomore Corey Kumamoto led Holy Cross on the five-kilometer course, placing 18th in 16:03.70.
  • Sophomore Karter Seitz was 19th, running a time of 16:04.99.
  • Freshman Liam Christman placed 20th in his first collegiate race, running a time of 16:05.09.
  • Senior Bobby Tuzzio placed 22nd in 16:07.48.
  • Freshman Kyle VanDermark placed 26th, running a time of 16:11.64 in his collegiate debut.

  • Holy Cross will compete at the Nassaney Invitational, hosted by Bryant University, on Saturday, September 7.
