Malgeri, Livingston to Participate in FCBL All-Star Game

Rising sophomore outfielder Ben Malgeri and rising senior catcher Riley Livingston have been selected to participate in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game on July 16 at Wahconah Park in Pittsfield, Mass.

Rising sophomore catcher Angelo D’Acunto of the Westfield Starfires is also eligible for the final spot in the All-Star Game via fan vote. Fans can cast their vote on the Futures League website HERE.

Malgeri holds a .316 average in 22 games this summer for the North Shore Navigators, along with five doubles, a triple, two home runs and 16 RBI. He will suit up for the Electrics, named after the former minor league Eastern Association team based in Pittsfield in the early 1910s.

Livingston is hitting .394 (13-for-33) in 11 appearances for the Worcester Bravehearts this season with two doubles, one home run and eight RBI. He will dress for the Hillies, who are named for the former Eastern League team based in Pittsfield in the 1920s.  

The All-Star Game festivities will begin at 12 p.m. with batting practice and Scout Day. The Home Run Derby will begin at 6:20 p.m., and first pitch of the All-Star Game will be at 7:15 p.m. A full schedule of events is available here.
