Women's Lacrosse & Maggie Moriarty Earn IWLCA Academic Accolades
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team has earned 2019 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad. To qualify, the team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2018-19 academic year.
The Crusaders’ team GPA through the 2018-19 academic year was a 3.19. Holy Cross has received this honor for four-consecutive years, which is a program first. This is the sixth time in program history that the team has earned this honor.
Maggie Moriarty earned a spot on the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a junior or senior and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Moriarty checked in with a 3.72 cumulative GPA as a political science major. Moriarty is just the ninth Crusader to earn the honor, and the first to do so since 2010.
