Five Women's Rowers Selected as 2019 CRCA Scholar Athletes

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s rowing team saw five members of the team earn Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2018-2019 season.

Michaela Boyle, Paige Cohen, Madeline Downey, Kate Hegermiller, and Tyler Sparling were each selected as CRCA National Scholar-Athletes. To be eligible, a student-athlete needs to have had a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Also, the student-athlete has to be at least a sophomore and have rowed in a minimum of 75% of spring races.

This is Sparling’s third honor as a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete and Hegermillers’ second honor. Boyle and Cohen are first-time selections.
