Keely Connors Named ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Keely Connors has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 1-7. Connors led the Holy Cross women’s lacrosse team to a 19-13 win over Bucknell in its only game last week.
During the victory over the Bison, Connors posted one goal, two assists and 16 draw controls. Her 16 draw controls set a new career high, and also moved her into first place all-time at Holy Cross in career draw controls with 217.
Overall this season, Connors ranks second on the team in scoring with 25 points on 22 goals and three assists, in addition to posting a team-best 70 draw controls. During her career with the Crusaders, she has now totaled 77 goals and 13 assists for 90 points to go along with her 217 draw controls.
The Crusaders (4-8 overall, 2-3 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, April 13, when they travel to Lehigh for a 12:00 p.m. game.
