Todd Gilcrist is in his first season on the Holy Cross coaching staff in 2019, serving as the wide receivers coach.
Gilcrist came to Holy Cross from Columbia University, where he was an assistant coach for four seasons. He served as the Lions’ running backs coach from 2015-2016, then took over as the wide receivers coach from 2017-2018. Gilcrist coached four All-Ivy League selections during his time at Columbia, including wide receiver Josh Wainwright, who set a school record with 1,001 receiving yards in 2017.
Prior to joining the Lions, he spent time as the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Carnegie Mellon University (2014), the wide receivers and strength and conditioning coach at Thiel (Pa.) College (2013) and the defensive backs coach at Maine Maritime Academy (2012).
Gilcrist is a 2012 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in media and professional communications. He was a three-year member of the Panthers’ football team, contributing primarily on special teams in addition to playing safety and wide receiver. He helped Pittsburgh to the 2010 Big East championship and three consecutive bowl game appearances. Gilcrist played his first two seasons of college football at Duquesne University.
Gilcrist is married to the former Bridget Erickson.
