Chuck Doyle was a star fullback on the Crusader football team from 1982-1985. He rushed 411 times for 1,620 yards during his collegiate career, and ranked third all-time at Holy Cross with 23 rushing touchdowns at the time of his graduation. Doyle also served as the lead blocker for Gill Fenerty, who became the Crusaders’ all-time leader with 3,680 career rushing yards. He helped lead the team to an overall record of 29-14-2 during his four years, including the program’s first-ever NCAA playoff appearance in 1983.
