Women's Swimming and Diving Defeats Providence in Dual-Meet Action
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women’s swimming and diving team beat Providence, 161-136, Saturday afternoon for its third dual-meet victory of the season.
Katy Saladin paced the team with three first place finishes, two coming in individual events and one in a relay. The individual races were the 100 and 200 backs, which she won with times of 1:07.10 and 2:24.48 respectively. The relay was the 200 medley and Saladin, along with Caroline Body, Brianna Larnard, and Rose Kelly, won with a 2:03.56.
Four Crusaders claimed first place in two events. Along with the relay, Larnard also won the 100 fly with 1:06.41. Kayleigh Hoagland took first in the 100 and 200 frees with times of 1:00.41 and 2:10.21. Isabella Miko-Rydzaj finished in first in the 200 fly with a 2:23.73 and the 200 IM with a 2:25.68. Casey Sherman won both diving events with scores of 246.90 and 258.45.
Holy Cross is in action next this Saturday, Jan. 26 when it hosts Springfield on Senior Day.
