Men's Track Competes At Beantown Challenge
The Holy Cross men’s track and field team competed at the Beantown Challenge, hosted by Harvard University, on Saturday, January 12.
Sophomore Michael Pichay placed second in the long jump with a New England-qualifying mark of 7.00 meters. He later had a New England mark of 14.24 meters in the triple jump, good for seventh place in the event.
Senior Brandon Thornhill ran a New England-qualifying time of 8.49 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles, finishing 10th overall.
Junior Freddie Halloran led the Crusader contingent in the 500 meters, finishing 18th with a time of 1:07.05.
Holy Cross will next compete at a dual meet at the University of New Hampshire on January 19.
