Brady Earns Academic All-Patriot League Honors
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Holy Cross senior linebacker Ryan Brady has been selected to the 2018 Academic All-Patriot League football team, as announced by the conference office. This marks the second straight season Brady has earned Academic All-Patriot League honors. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, and be a starter or key reserve.
Brady was named first team All-Patriot League this season after starting all 11 of the Crusaders’ games at linebacker. He led the team with 121 total tackles, including 90 solo stops, two quarterback sacks and 15 tackles for loss. Brady also recorded three fumble recoveries, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a safety. He finished the season ranked first in the Patriot League in both tackles and fumble recoveries, while standing seventh in tackles for loss. Over the course of his career with the Crusaders, Brady totaled 258 tackles, eight sacks and 29 tackles for loss. In the classroom, he carries a cumulative grade point average of 3.43 with a major in political science.
Holy Cross concluded the 2018 season with an overall record of 5-6, and tied for second in the Patriot League with a 4-2 mark in conference games.
