Emily Sullivan Named ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Emily Sullivan has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from November 12-18. Sullivan broke a pair of school records while leading the Holy Cross women’s swimming and diving team to a fourth place finish during the Harold Anderson Invitational over the weekend.
At the Anderson Invitational, Sullivan opened the weekend by winning the 400-yard individual medley on Friday with a school-record time of 4:30.10. She then won the 200-yard individual medley on Saturday while breaking the school record with a time of 2:07.03. During the final day of competition on Sunday, Sullivan placed fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:26.16. In addition to her individual events, she also swam as part of four different relays, including the 800-yard freestyle relay team which placed third (7:49.89).
The Crusaders (2-2 in dual meets) are off until Friday, Jan. 11, when they travel to Fairfield at 4:00 p.m.
