Men's cross country competes at NCAA Northeast Regional
AMHERST, New York -- The Holy Cross men’s cross country team competed at the NCAA Northeast Regional, hosted by the University at Buffalo, on November 9 at the Audubon Golf Course. The Crusaders finished in 24th place out of 35 teams with a total of 644 points.
Senior Joseph Prunty led the way for the Crusaders, placing 136th out of 241 with a time of 35:36.9 on the 10-kilometer course. Junior Robert Tuzzio was next in 165th, posting a time of 36:17.8.
Freshman Corey Kumamoto placed 173rd in his first collegiate 10K race with a time of 36:37.8. Fellow rookie Andrew Corbett ran a time of 37:00.7, placing 192nd.
Freshman Joseph Leland also ran his first collegiate 10K, placing 205th in a time of 37:34.8. Freshman Karter Seitz was right behind him, finishing 206th and running a time of 37:35.3. Sophomore Joseph Doerr rounded out the Crusader contingent in 208th place, clocking in at 37:43.7.
Holy Cross will close out its season at the IC4A Championships in the Bronx, New York, on November 17.
